23.3 Such meetings must be approved in advance by the Fire Chief and are limited to members of the <br />Association, unless otherwise approved by the Fire Chief. <br />23.4 For the purpose of Associarion business, the Employer shall aclmowledge a Comp Time Bank into <br />which members of the Association contribute hours. <br />ARTICLE XXIV <br />HOURS OF WORK <br />24.1 Beginning January 1, 1993 and continuing through December 31, 2002, the basic work week for <br />Employees assigned to platoon duty shall be an average of 51.7 hours. Beginning January 1, <br />2003, the basie work week for Line Personnel assigned to platoon duty shall be an average of 50.4 <br />hours. <br />24.2 Employees assigned to Fire Prevention duty shall work a forty hour week. <br />24.3 Twenty-four hour shifts shall commence at 0800 hours in accordance with the Normal Work <br />Schedule. <br />24.4 In order to facilitate the work week of 51.7 hours effective January 1, 1993, Employees shall be <br />entitled to additional time off with pay, known as Kelley Days. All Ketley Days shall be taken <br />during the year of entitlement, shall not accrue &om yeaz to year, and shall be selected by the <br />Employer. In order to facilitate the work week of 50.4 hours effective January 1, 2003, Line <br />Personnel shall be entitled to addirional time off with pay, lmown as Kelley Days. All Kelley <br />Days shall be taken during the year of entitlement, shall not accrue from year to yeaz, and shall be <br />selected by the Employer. <br />24.5 The Employer shall annually provide each Bmployee with a thirteen (13).shift cycle schedule <br />commencing on January 1, 1993, and indicate the thirteen (13) shift cycles in which the Employer <br />has scheduled his Kelley Days. <br />24.6 The Employer shall annually provide each Employee with a ten (10) shift cycle schedule <br />couunencing on January 1, 2003, and indicate the ten (10) shift cycles in which the Employer has <br />scheduled his Kelley Days. <br />35 <br />
