SAINI, P.E. <br />SENIOR HIGHWAY ENGINEER <br />EDUCATION: <br />B.S., Civil Engineering, 1962 <br />University of Michigan <br />EXPERIENCE: <br />Mr. Saini has been responsible for the design and project management of a wide variety of major <br />civil engineering projects, with an emphasis on freeways, highways and bridges, utility design <br />and relocation, site development, drainage, and right-of-way. <br />In addition to engineering design, his responsibilities have included manpower allocation, project <br />budgeting, supervision of project managers, review of projects for quality and client requirements, <br />client contacts, and contract negotiations and administration. <br />Mr. Saini's experience in the design of highways include: <br />Project Manager: The project include the preparation of (Phase I) environmental <br />studies, preliminary engineering for the development of feasible and preferred alternatives <br />on 1.4 mile section of State Route 687, a major collector in Stark County, Ohio. The <br />responsibility included environmental tasks for cultural resources, land use, noise, <br />traffic, hazardous waste, alignment studies, profiles, drainage, utilities, right-of-way <br />and cost estimates. <br />Project Engineer: Alignment study and design report presenting four feasible corridor <br />routes for one and a half mile relocation of State Route 164 in Carroll County, Ohio. The <br />report incorporated analyses and recommendation for multi-span bridges, along with <br />flood plain studies, impacting property acquisition, and an estimated comparison of <br />costs. <br />The completed construction plans included roadway plan and profiles, drainage <br />design, structure plans, right-of-way drawings and cost estimates. <br />Project Engineer: Twenty-four mile section of Illinois State Route 410 including <br />alternate route alignment studies and preliminary design report. <br />Design Engineer: Ohio I-90 (Cleveland Urban Areas) from West 160th Street to West <br />25th Street, approximately 7-mile section. The urban section carries 4 lanes in each <br />direction including two reversible lanes (which were deleted from construction) with five <br />interchanges and 20 bridge crossings. The project also included street closing, street <br />relocations, frontage roads, temporary runarounds, etc. <br />12
