Civil Engineering, 1992 <br />Pennsylvania State University <br />EXPERIENCE: <br />Mr. Kordes has been actively involved in the design of various site development and highway <br />design projects throughout the State of Ohio. Besides being familiar with the design requirements <br />of various agencies, he has coordinated the work with numerous utility owners and public agencies <br />having jurisdiction over the design work. <br />Some of the projects Mr. Kordes has contributed to include: <br />Project Engineer: Site development for the New Middle School in Olmsted Township, <br />Ohio. The work included the development of storm water detention basins with outlet <br />control and storm water pollution prevention plans for this 50 acre site in a rapidly <br />developing suburban area. Permits were obtained from the Cuyahoga County Sanitary <br />Engineer. <br />Design Engineer: Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program of the Ohio <br />Department of Transportation. Mr. Kordes has been responsible for various aspects <br />related to roadway design, drainage, right-of-way, utility relocations and coordination on <br />this ongoing program. Several of these bridges have been successfully constructed, and <br />plans for several others are at vazious stages of completion. All plans are prepared <br />following the latest ODOT standards and specifications. The most recent ones have been <br />prepared using metric units. <br />Design Engineer: Widening and Reconstruction of State Route 175 (Richmond Road) in <br />Warrensville Heights and Highland Hills, Ohio. The work for this 0.6 mile section <br />included complete removal of the two-lane road, replacement with a four-lane reinforced <br />concrete pavement with turning lanes and a 30-foot median, construction of new storm <br />sewers, sanitary sewers, water line relocation, pavement marking, signing, right-of-way <br />and maintenance of traffic.
