?, . <br />? <br />? <br />i <br />? <br />? <br />? <br />? <br />? <br />? <br /> <br />HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENTS <br />U.S. ROUTE 322 AND STATE ROUTE 306 <br />GEAUGA COUNTY, OffiO <br />Owner: <br />Project Cost: <br />Completion Date: <br />Ohio Department of Transportation <br />$4.5 Million <br />1995 (Phase I) <br />Description: <br />Polytech, Inc., as prime consultant, is currently providing engineering services for the <br />improvement of a 2.5 mile section of U.S. Route 322 and a 0.52 mile section of State Route 306 <br />in Geauga County, Ohio. Both highways are classified as principal arterials. The project site is <br />in a rapidly urbanizing section with commercial, residential and industrial sections. <br />Phase I, Preliminary Development Phase includes the following items of work: <br />- preparation of a preliminary plans showing alignment, profile, typical sections, cross <br />sections and preliminary maintenance of traffic <br />- traffic signal warrants and preliminary signal layout at intersections <br />- alternate alignment studies to minimize the impact on park property and historical <br />buildings <br />- alternate alignment and profile studies to relocate the intersection with Caves Road, <br />including superelevation <br />- preliminary drainage plans for the complete corridor, providing a new closed drainage <br />system and five major culverts <br />- preliminary right of way plans <br />- environmental studies to address cultural resources ecological resources, noise, section <br />4F & 106/4F, wetlands delineation, hazardous waste screening and Phase II evaluations <br />Phase II, Final Development Phase, includes construction contract documents for roadway, <br />drainage, right-of-way, traffic signals, signs, pavement marking, maintenance of traffic, <br />construction cost estimate. <br />21 <br />0
