Section 5. For the purpose of overtime distribution, if an employee is promoted <br />or transferred to another classification, the employee shall be credited with one (1) hour <br />more than the most senior hour employee. <br />Section 6. In distributing overtime opportunities, the City or its representatives <br />shall not engage in a policy favoring an employee or employees, uniess this Agreement <br />requires certain employees to work the overtime. <br />ARTtCLE 12 - MILITARY LEAVE <br />Section 1. An employee shall be granted a leave of absence for military duty <br />under the terms and conditions provided in applicable federal law. <br />ARTlCLE 13 - UNPAID SICK LEAVE <br />Section 1. A regular full-time employee who has completed his probationary <br />periocr and who has exhausted his sick leave shall be granted a leave of absence <br />without pay for a period not to exceed six (6) months for a continuing disability which is <br />substantiated by credible medical evidence. If the illness or disability continues beyond <br />six (6) months, an additional six months' sick leave may be requested. Employees <br />must submit proof acceptable to the City of his ability to perform the work of his job upon <br />the termination of the sick leave. Any dispute as to the ability of an employee to perform <br />the work of the job sha(( be determined pursuant to the medical examination procedure <br />in Article 16, Section 3. <br />ARTlCLE 14 - UNlON LEAVE <br />Section 1.
