ARTICLE 20 - TEMPORARY TRANSFERS <br />Section 1. When an employee is temporarily transferred for one (1) hour or <br />more to another classification, he shall receive the higher of his regular rate of the next <br />higher rate of the job to which he is transferred for the entire period of time of the <br />transfer. A temporary transfer shall not exceed thirty (30) working days except: <br />(a) to fiil a vacancy caused by an employee being on sick leave <br />or other approved leave of absence; <br />(b) to provide vacation relief scheduling; <br />(c) to fill an opening temporarily pending permaneni filling of such opening; <br />(d) to meet an emergency situation; <br />(e) to meet changes in the work load; and <br />(f) to accommodate the presence of summer employees. <br />ARTICLE 21 - VACATIONS <br />Section 1. Regular full-time employees hired prior to July 1, 1995 shall be <br />granted vacation leave with full pay as provided below. However, vacation carry-over is <br />limited as set forth in Section 2 below. Pay in lieu of vacation is limited to conditions as <br />set forth. <br />One through four years - <br />Five through nine years - <br />Ten through fourteen years - <br />Fifteen through twenty years - <br />2 calendar weeks <br />3 calendar weeks <br />4 calendar weeks <br />5 c:alendar weeks <br />Twenty-one years through infinity - 6 c;alendar weeks <br />Section 2. An employee shall become eligible for vacation leave on his <br />anniversary date and vacation feave shalt be taken by the employee within twelve (12) <br />;?. <br />iow months thereafter.
