week. in the interest of Health and Safety, management may send an emptoyee (Recreation <br />Department Maintenance Only) home before he compfetes his regutar scheduled shift when the <br />employee has worked the maximum consecutive emergency overtime hours. Such regularly <br />scheduied shift hours not worked shali be credited toward the forty (40) hour work week <br />requirement for any subsequent overtime worked. A work day is a twenty-four (24) hour period <br />commencing at the start of the employee's scheduled shift. Hours worked on a day designated <br />as a holiday in Article 16 shall be paid at two times (2X) the employee's straight time rate of pay <br />for hours worked in addition to regular holiday pay in accordance with Article 16, with the <br />exception of the Police Department Secretaries. Police Department Secretaries shall be paid at <br />time and one and one-half (1 1/2) times the employees straight rate of pay for all hours worked <br />in addition to regular holiday pay in accordance with Article 16. Hours worked on a Sunday <br />shall be paid at two'times (2X) the employee's straight time rate of pay, except for employees <br />regularly scheduled to work on that Sunday. <br />Section 5. In determining whether an employee has worked in excess of forty (40) <br />hours in any work week, the following shall be considered as hours worked: <br />(a) Hours on a holiday which the employee did not work but for <br />which he received pay pursuant to Article 16 of this Agreement. <br />(b) Hours o# vacation which the employee did not work but for <br />which he received pay pursuant to Article 15 of this Agreement. <br />(c) Hours of jury duty or witness duty which the employee did not <br />work but for which he received pay pursuant to Article 20 of <br />the Agreement. <br />(d) Employees who are on vacation when a holiday occurs will <br />not be credited with a vacation day and will be paid far the <br />holiday as per Article 18. <br />13 <br />.?,???? ??? .??,?.,,n,..,.. .? .. ...._?...,s_ ? .????•????..,, , ???????«?qb„?..._ . ?? o , ? .
