ARTICLE 16 - HOLIDAYS <br />Section 1. Ail regular full-time employees shali be entitled to the following paid holidays: <br />New Year's Day <br />One-half (1/2) Day Christmas Eve <br />One half (1/2) Day New Year's Eve <br />Employees Birthday <br />One-half (1/2) Day Good Friday <br />Memorial Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Day <br />Labor Day <br />Independence Day <br />President's Day <br />Section 2. In addition to the above holidays, a regular full-time employee shall be <br />entitled to observe three (3) personal days as a holiday with pay in each years (July 1 through <br />June 30) covered by the terms of this Agreement. The personal days shall be scheduled by <br />mutual agreement between the employee and his supervisor. <br />Section 3. If an employee does not use sick leave time for any 6 month period, from his <br />last sick day, he shall receive two (2) personal days off or at his option, the cash equivalent of <br />one (1) or two (2) days. Such bonus days may be taken at a time mutually agreeable to the <br />City and the employee. Such bonus days must be taken within one year of accrual. Up to one <br />absence per year for attending a funeral as provided in Article 33 may be used without effecting <br />eligibility for bonus days. <br />Section 4. To be entitled to holiday pay, employees must work the last regular work day <br />before and the first regular work day after the holiday unless excused by the City. If any of the <br />above holidays fafl on a Saturday or a Sunday, either the previous Friday or the following <br />Monday shall be observed as the holiday. <br />ARTICLE 17 - CALL-IN PAY <br />Section 1. If an employee does not receive prior notification of call-in during his <br /> <br />previous shift; he shall receive a minimum of two (2) hours' work or two (2) hours' pay. <br />Poiice Secretaries assigned #o the Police Department who are called-in to perform matron <br />duties shall not be required to perform any other duties for the duration of the call-in.
