(Q) Full time employees who have completed seventeen full years of employment are <br />entitled to five weeks vacation; said vacation shall be taken during the eighteenth <br />year of employment. <br />(R) Full time employees who have completed eighteen full years of employment are <br />entitled to five weeks vacation; said vacation shall be taken during the nineteenth <br />year of employment <br />(S) Full time employees who have completed nineteen full years of employment are <br />entitled to five weeks vacation; said vacation shall be taken during and after the <br />twentieth year of employment. <br />(T) Full time employees who have completed twenty years through infinity aie entitled <br />to six weeks vacation; said vacation shall be taken during the twenty first year <br />and all subsequent years thereafter. <br />Section 23.03. Any employee who resigns without giving at least ten (10) working days written <br />notice to the Transit Department shall forfeit any unused vacation and holidays, or pay in lieu <br />thereof. <br />Section 23.04. If an employee is terminated (voluntarily or involuntarily, other than for <br />disciplinary reasons) prior to taking his vacation and has completed one (1) year of employment <br />with the City, he shall receive the pro-rated portion of any accrued but unused vacation at the time <br />of separation. In case of death of an employee, the unused vacation shall be paid to the estate. <br />Section 23.05. Any employee hired on or after the effective date of this agreement who has <br />? prior full-time service with a public employer in the State of Ohio, shall provide the employer <br />written satisfactory certification within 90 days of date-of-hire; to be credited with such prior <br />service time toward his vacation allowance with the Employer, up to a maximum of three (3) <br />years. A failure to provide this satisfactory certification will require the Employer to not give this <br />vacation allowance credit. <br />Section 23.06. Effective January 1, 1995 any full-time employee who is eligible for <br />vacation allowance may at the time of vacation pick hold one week of vacation for payment <br />(at a predetermined date at least 14 days prior to the applicable pay period) or for a future <br />available week. In each year the full time employee who held one week must accept payment <br />for that week to be posted by no later than December 1, and paid before the final payroll is <br />issued that year. A week is defined as forty (40) hours. <br />ART'ICLE XXIV <br />HEALTH INSURANCE <br />Section 24.01. The Employer shall provide either individual or family medical insurance <br />coverage, at the employees option for each full time employee. The employer shall have the <br />option of seeking alternate health insurance providers or plans and will attempt to offer at <br />least two different plans. Basic hospitalization will be consistent with and similiar to those <br />plans offered on July 1, 1994. Basic hospitalization will be that offered to other employees <br />of the City of North Olmsted. The employer has the right to negotiate co-payment and <br />prescription drug rates with providers to lower the cost to the employer as well as the <br />employee contribution. <br />Section 24.02.
