ARTICLE XXVI <br />iNCENTIVE PROGRAM <br />Section 26.01. A full-time employee will receive one (1) day (which may be taken as time off, <br />subject to driver availability; or for an extra eight (8) hours pay) for each six (6) consecutive <br />months of Perfect Attendance. The first six (6) month period shall be from January 1 to June 30, <br />and the second six-month period from July 1 to December 31. This incentive day, after earned, <br />will be taken in the following six (6) month period from the time earned and may not be <br />accumulated. Perfect Attendance is defined as meaning that the employee works every day he is <br />scheduled to work. This further means that there is no sick leave, no suspensions without pay, no <br />non-working misses for bus operators, no personai days off without pay and no more than one (1) <br />lateness for maintenance employees; used by the before mentioned employee in the six (6) month <br />period. Perfect attendance shall not include vacation days, holidays, floating holidays, or <br />incentive days earned in the prior six (6) month period. <br />ARTICLE XXVII <br />PENSION <br />The Employer shall make payments to the Public Employees Retirement System in accordance <br />with the law. <br />ARTICLE XXVIII <br />LIFE INSURANCE <br />Section 28.01. After one (1) month of continuous service with the Employer full-time <br />employees of the transit department shall be covered by a twenty thousand dollar ($20,000.) <br />group term life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy at the employers <br />expense for the duration of this contract. <br />Section 28.02. To the extent permitted by the insurance provider's rules, full-time employees <br />may purchase additional life insurance; which shall be deducted from an employee paycheck. <br />Section 28.03. To the extent permitted by the insurance provider's rules, a full-time employee <br />who leaves his job shall be allowed to convert his group term life policy to an individual policy, <br />at his own expense. <br />ARTICLE XXIX <br />ADDENDUM SIGNED MARCH 8, 1993 <br />All of the terms and conditions which are contained within an earlier Addendum dealing with <br />the creation of the temporary position of Hostler-Driver which was signed and dated March 8, <br />1993, shall remain in effect. Except those terms and conditions as stated below. <br />The language stated in Section (F) of the Addendum shall now read as follows: <br />F. Employees in the temporary position of Hostler-Driver shall continue to accumulate <br />company senority. These same employees shall also accumulate Hostler classification <br />seniority, retroactive to March 14, 1993; for the purpose of their: 1)Shift Work Pick for <br />Hostler, however these same employees must continue in the Hostler-Driver position <br />until these positions are no longer needed by the City, and 2) Vacation pick for Hostler. <br />Employees in this position shall progress to the next rate step when scheduled. <br />22 <br />,? . ?rc ? ,F•... . ?? ???,? ?o «? ? ., : . . . , . ... ? r? . ?. .., ,.., ? . ?
