<br />3•2 Any newly hired employees in the bargaining unit shall, within sixty (60) days of <br />date of employment, either elect to become members of the OPBA or remit the fair share <br />fee as provided in Ohio Revised Code Section 4117.09 (C). Nothing in this Article shall <br />be deemed to require any employee to become a member of the OPBA. <br />3.3 T'he Employer agrees to deduct OPBA dues and fees from any member of the <br />bargaining unit who provides written authorization for payroll dues and fees deduction. <br />The OPBA shall indemnify the City and hold it harmless against any and all claims, <br />demands, suit or other liability that may arise by reason of any action of the City in <br />complying with the provisions of this Agreement. <br />ARTICLE IV <br />WORK WEEK/SCHEDULED HOURS <br />4.1 A full-time employee is defined as one that is regularly scheduled to work forty <br />(40) hours per week. A work day for full-time employees is defined as a continuous <br />eight (8) hour period in any twenty four hour period except during those periods which a <br />shift changes and a double back occurs; shall not be considered as overtime. A double <br />back is defined as the work period in which an employee completes a shift and starts <br />another shift within the same twenty-four hour period. A. work week for full-time <br />employees is defined as forty (40) hours. The compensation for regularly scheduled <br />eight (8) hour days and double back days shall be at the straight-time rate of pay. <br />4.2 The employer shall schedule and assign the days and working hours of all part- <br />time Correction Officers. The compensation shall be a straight-time rate of pay except <br />as provided within Article 5, Section 5.4 and 5.7 of this agreement. <br />
