CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 71- ~~ ~ Page 2 <br />w <br />Section 140.02 License Required <br />(C) The Private Police commission -shall be evidenced by <br />an identification card which shall be issued to the <br />original Applicant and upon each renewal thereof. <br />Said identification card shall set forth among other <br />things that the territoral limits of said Private Police <br />commission are the municipal bc-undaries of the Gity <br />of North Olmsted. <br />Section 140.03 Rules and Reaulations Prescribed By The Director Of <br />Public Safety <br />The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized to <br />prescribed rules and regulations, and the uniform which <br />shall be worn by such Privates Policemen and/or Private <br />Policewomen whenever and wherever their services are <br />conducted. <br />Section 140.04 Bond Required <br />Such Private Policemen and/or Private Policewomen shall <br />furnish a bondissued by a bonding company authorized to <br />do business in the State of Ohfo. The bond shall be in <br />the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000.00) and <br />shall be approved by the Director of Public Safety and <br />the Director of Law. <br />Section 140.05 Official Uniform Not To Be Copied ; Exceptions <br />It shall be unlawful for any person not a member of the <br />Police or Fire Department to wear .a uniform, cap, badge, <br />or buttons similar to, or in imitation of the official uni- <br />form ,cap, badge, or buttons at the time in use by the <br />members of the Police and Fire Department of the City <br />of North Olmsted. <br />Section 140.06 Uniforms To Be Approved <br />Any person, farm, or corporation desiring to provide <br />special police, watchmen, or detective service, either <br />for itself or for hire to others, s~i811 use no distinctive <br />uniforms, cap, badge, or buttons to be worn by such <br />person or any employee of such person, firm, or corpo- <br />ration engaged for such purpose, until the form, design <br />and color thereof shall have been first submitted to and <br />approved by the Director of Public Safety, and a record <br />thereof sufficient to identify the users thereof shall have <br />been made by sand Director of Public Safety. <br />Section 140.0 7 Uniform Identification <br />The Director of Public Safety shall prescribe such uni- <br />form, badge, cap, and/or ether distinquishing uniform <br />marks for such Private Policemen and/or Policewomen, <br />as he may see fit in order to distinquish such Private <br />Police Officer from regular police officer of the Division <br />of Police, Department of Public Safety, of the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> <br />
