<br />-9- <br />r~~. <br />e. Is absent without report for three {3) consecutive work days <br />unless the employee has a reasonable excuse for failing to <br />report the absence. <br />24. The City shall advise the Union is writing of additions to or dele- <br />tions from the seniority list at the end of each pay period. <br />Hours of Work <br />25. The purpose of this article is to define the normal hours of work <br />and is not intended as a guarantee of any hours of work per day or <br />per week. <br />26. The normal work week for regular full-time employees in the Service <br />Department shall be Forty (40) hours of work in five {5) days of <br />eight (8) consecutive hours per day exclusive of the time alloted <br />for meals during the period starting 12:01 a. m. Monday to midnight <br />Sunday. Through December 31, 1973, the City intends to continue its <br />practice of making an additional one-quarter hour available as <br />"show-up time" to those employees who report for work at least <br />fifteen (15) minutes in advance of their scheduled starting time. <br />Through December 31, 1973, the City also intends to continue its <br />present practice, if practicable, of scheduling Service Department <br />employees, who wish to do so, to work seven (7) hours every other <br />Saturday. <br />27. The normal work week for regular full-time employees in the Waste <br />Water Collection System shall be forty (~+0) hours of work in one <br />week of five (5) eight (8) hour days and forty-eight (1+8) hours of <br />work in six (6) eight (8) hour days in the next week, starting 12:01 <br />a.m. Monday to midnight Sunday. It is understood that individual <br />schedules may vary from this norm and may be the sub3ect of discus- <br />sion with the Union upon request. <br />~~.~ <br />
