<br />-S- <br /> <br />rehired, he shall be considered a new employee and sub3ect to pro- <br />visions of Paragraph 18. <br />Seniority <br />20. Only regular full time employees of the City shall have seniority. <br />Students, summer employees and part-tithe employees shall have no <br />seniority rights. <br />21. Seniority shall mean an employee's uninterrupted length of continu- <br />ous service with the City measured from his last hiring date as a <br />fall time employee. An employee shall have no seniority for the <br />probationary period provided in Paragraph 1$, but upon completion <br />of the probationary period, seniority shall be retroactive to the <br />date of hire. <br />22. The City shall provide the Union with a copy of the seniority lists <br />and these lists shall be updated every six months. The seniority <br />lists shall be made up by classifications and shall contain, in <br />order of seniority, the name, department, and date of hire of each <br />employee. <br />23. Continuous service and seniority shall be broken when an employee: <br />a. Quits or resigns; <br />b. Is discharged for dust cause; <br />c. Is laid off for a period equal to the amount of seniority held <br />at the time the lay off commenced, or twenty-four (24) consec- <br />utive months, whichever is less; <br />d. Fails to report to work within seven (7) calendar days when <br />recalled from lay off by certified mail addressed to the em- <br />ployee's last known address as shown on the City's records; <br />
