CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- 11 1 PAGE 3 <br />( h) To order the closing of all private clubs or portions thereof <br />wherein the ccinsumption of intoxicating liquor or non-intoxicating <br />beer is permitted ; <br />( i) To order the discontinuance of selling, distributing or giving away <br />gasoline or other liquid flammable or combustible products in any con- <br />tainer other than a gas63ine tank properly affixed to a motor vehicle ; <br />( j) To oder the closing of gasbline stations and other establishments, <br />the chief activity of which is the sale, distribution or dispensing of <br />gasoline or other liquid flammable or combustible products. <br />( k) To designate any public place, public street, thoroughfare, <br />boulevard, parking area and any other place closed to motor vehicles, <br />persons and pedestrian traffic : <br />( 1) To order all regular, special and auxiliary policemen , firemen, <br />and other conservators of the peace to report for duty assignment, such <br />reporting to be in accordance with prearranged plans or under the direc- <br />tion of lawful authority. <br />( m) To issue reasonable regulations to suppress such riot or insurrection, <br />or to protect person or property from harm by reason of such riat or in- <br />surrection . <br />Cv sho y a Co u?rt,f Si?e ri fr <br />( n) To call upon the National Guardnnd/or State Highway Patrol for <br />assistance. <br />Section 131.03 Proclamations <br />A. Any such proclamation of a state of emergency shall become im- <br />mediately effective upon its execution and issurance by the Mayor, <br />and the original thereof shall be filed and remain in the office of the <br />Clerk of Council. <br />B. The proclamation issued in accordance with theprovisions of this <br />ordinance shall remain in effect continuously from the date and time of <br />the issuance thereof for such period of time as specifically preseribed <br />therein or upon the issuance of a proclamation by the Mayor determining <br />a civil emergency no longer exists, whichever occurs first. <br />Section 131,04 Powers ( Non-Limitina ) <br />The powers conferred by this ordinance are in addition to any other <br />power which may be conferred by law and nothing in this section shall <br />be construed to modify, or limit such authority , powers, duties, and re- <br />sponsibilities of any offfcer or public official as may be provided by law. <br />Nothing in this ordinance shall be construed to permit suspension of <br />the privilege to a writ of habeas corpus. <br />Secion 131.05 Compliance <br />It shall be unlawful for any_ person to fail,neglect or refuse to comply <br />with the orders made or prohibitions instituted by a proclamation issued <br />under the provisions of this ordinance, or for anr person to otherwise
