The use of holiday tine by full-time employees <br />shall be subject to the Employer's administrati~~e rules and regulations. <br />When an observed holiday falls on the first day of a tn~ekend, the holiday <br />will be celebrated on the day preceding the weekend. when a holiday <br />falls on the second day of a weekend the holiday will be celebrated <br />on the day succeeding the weekend. If a holiday occurs while an employee <br />is on vacation leave, the employee may either receive the extra eight (8} <br />hours holiday pay or pick another day off. <br />Section 25.03. For an employee to receive holiday pay he must <br />work the complete scheduled day preceding and the complete scheduled day <br />following the holiday. If an employee fails to work he shall forfeit <br />his holiday pay. Employees who call in sick for the holiday, shall also <br />forfeit the holiday pay. Holiday pay and sick leave shall not be paid <br />on the same day. Management discretion map be used in this section <br />--for special situations. <br />~ Section 25.04. Drivers shall give at least fourteen (14) days <br />advance written notice to receive consideration for a floating holiday. <br />All other full-time employees shall give at least seven {7) days advance <br />~ notice for consideration for a floating holiday. Holidays requested <br />will be approved by senority, as has been the past practice. The use of <br />the floating holidays will be permitted in conjunction with other holidays <br />{ off, providing it does not conflict with primary vacation selections and <br />does not create a scheduling problem. <br />ARTICLE XXVI <br />( INCEIdTIVE PROGRAM <br />Section 26.01. A full-time employee will receive one (1) day (which <br />~ may be taken as time off, subject to driver availability; or for an extra <br />eight (8) hours pay} for each six (6) consecutive months of perfect <br />attendance. The first six (6) month period shall be from January 1 to June 30 <br />t' and the second six (6) month period from July 1 to December 31. This incentive <br />day, after earned, will be taY,en in the following six (6) month period <br />from the time earned and may r_ot be accumulated. Perfect attendance is <br />~ defined as meaning that the employee caorks everyday that he is scheduled <br />to work. This further means that there is no sick leave, misses, personal <br />days off without pay and tardiest used by the employee in the six (6} month <br />period. Perfect attendance shall not include vacation days, hclidays, <br />floating holidays, or incentive days earned in the prior six (6) month period. <br />ARTICLE XXVII <br />PEPIS IQN <br />The Employer shall make payments to the Public Employees Retirement <br />System in accordance with the law. <br />ARTICLE XXVIII <br />LIFE INSURAAICE <br />Section 28.01.
