ti <br />strict accordance with the overtime lists where: (1) the City, <br />in good faith, estimates that the opportunity consists of no more <br />than one (1) hour of overtime work per man required, or (2) the <br />opportunity arises during an emergency. <br />Section 8. In distributing overtime opportunities, the City <br />or its representatives shall not engage in a policy favoring an <br />employee or employees, unless this Agreement requires certain <br />employees to work the overtime. <br />ARTICLE 11 - LEAVES OF ABSENCE <br />Section 1. Military Leave: An employee shall be granted a <br />leave of absence for military duty under the terms and conditions <br />provided in applicable federal law. <br />Section 2. Unpaid Sick Leave: A regular full-time employee <br />who has completed his probationary period and who has exhausted <br />his paid sick leave shall be granted a leave of absence without <br />pay for a period not to exceed six (6) months for a continuing <br />disability which is substantiated by credible medical evidence. <br />If the illness or disability continues beyond six (6) months, <br />additional sick leave may be granted by the City upon request. <br />The employee shall be required to submit proof acceptable to the <br />City of his ability to perform the work of his job upon the <br />termination of the sick leave. Any dispute as to the ability of <br />an employee to perform the work of the job shall be determined <br />pursuant to the medical examination procedure in the General <br />Leave Provisions, Section 4. <br />Section 3. Paid Sick Leave: An employee who has completed <br />his probationary period shall be granted sick leave for personal <br />illness or injury as follows: <br />- 15 - <br />
