(c) Employees who have not completed their <br />probationary period; - <br />(d) Regular full-time employees within the <br />classification affected who have <br />completed their probationary period; <br />(e) In the application of the foregoing, <br />employees will be retained by reason of <br />their seniority only if they are able <br />to perform the available work. <br />'(f) For the purpose of this Article, students <br />participating in school or other subsidized <br />related work programs or employees working <br />part-time under county or other subsidized <br />programs shall not be included in the <br />definition of students under subsection (a) <br />or part-time employees under subsection (b) <br />of this Article. <br />Section 2: Regular full-time employees shall be laid off on <br />the basis of their seniority within their classification. When <br />the seniority or service of two or more employees is equal, <br />employees shall be laid off by the drawing of lots. In the event <br />an employee cannot hold his present classification, he shall have <br />the right to "bump" an employee with lesser seniority in an equal <br />or lower rated classification within the City, provided the <br />employee has the ability to do the work of the classification. <br />Section 3: Whenever practicable, regular .full-time <br />employees shall be given a minimum of two (2) weeks advance <br />notice of layoff for lack of work. <br />Section 4: In the event an employee is laid off for .lack of <br />work, he shall receive payment for any earned but unused vacation <br />as quickly as practicable, but no later than fourteen (14) <br />calendar days after the lay-off. <br />- 18 - <br /> <br />
