HOURS OF WORK 25. The normal work week for regular full-time employees in the Service Departmen, the Waste Water Collection System and the Waste Water Treatment Plant shall be forty (40) hours of work in five (5) days of eight (8) consecutive hours per day, exclusive of time allotted for meals during the period starting 7:00 A.M. Monday to 6:59 A.M the following Monday. It is recognized that the Waste Water Treatrnent Plant will be manned on a continuous operation schedule and individual employees will be assigned to work schedules accordingly. (a) The day shift schedule hours in the Service Department shall be from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Monday through Friaay, year round. (b) From November fifteenth (15th) to April fifteenth (15) the second shift hours shall be from 3:30 P.M. to 11:30 P.M. Monday through Friday, tize third shift hours shall be 11:00 P.M. to 7:30 A.M. Sunday through Friday. Such 2nd and 3rd shift work will first be given to volunteers, then any vacancies will be filled with the least senior employees within the classification needed. (c) Employees assigned to Building Maintenance & Systems Div. shall work from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, year round; (d) Employees assigned to the Police Station Maintenance shall work from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, year round. 26. The City rnay not reduce the weekly schedule of work for any department or employee below forty (40) hours without agreement with the Union. This shall not prevent reduction or cancellation of scheduled hours of work on a temporary basis if an emergency occurs which is beyond the control of the City. 27.
