29. Employees will be paid time and one-half (1-Z) of <br />their straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess <br />of eight (8) in any one work day and time and one-half <br />(1-h) of their straight time rate of pay for hours worked <br />in excess of forty (40) hours in any one work week. In the <br />interest of health and safety, management may send an <br />employee home before he completes his regular scheduled <br />shift when the employee has worked the maximum consecutive <br />emergency overtime hours. Such regularly scheduled shift hours <br />not worked will be credited toward the forty (40) hour work <br />week requirement for any subsequent overtime hours worked. <br />Employees other than those working rotating shifts at the <br />Waste Water Treatment Plant, shall receive twice (2x) the <br />rate of their regular pay for hours worked on Sunday. A <br />work day is a twenty-four (24) hour period commencing at <br />the start of the employee's scheduled shift. Hours worked on <br />a day designated as a holiday in Paragraph 57 shall be paid <br />at twice (2x) the employee'sstraight time rate of pay for <br />hours worked.in addition to regular holiday pay in accordance <br />with Paragraph 57. Hours worked on a day designated as a <br />Personal Day in accordance with Paragraph 57, shall be paid <br />at time and one-half (1-2) the employees straight time pay <br />rate for hours worked, in addition to regular holiday pay in <br />accordance with Paragraph 57. <br />In determining whether an employee has worked in excess <br />of forty (40) hours in any work week, the following shall be <br />considered as hours worked: <br />(a) Hours on a holiday which the employee did <br />not work but for which he received pay <br />pursusant to Paragraph 57 of this Memorandum; <br />-15-
