.11 , <br />Page 10 <br />ARTICLE RII <br />Holidays <br />Employees shall be entitled to certain holidays herein referred to <br />as "Holidays" during the year. These Holidays as follows: New <br />Year's Day, President•s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence <br />Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Yeteran•s Day, the <br />Employee's Birthday, and a floating Employee•s personal use Day. <br />ARTICLE RIII <br />Vacation Schedule <br />13.1 All Employees of the Fire Department shall receive a vacation at the <br />Basic Hourly xate of Pay plus Longevity, provided that they have <br />been employed for at least one calendar year. The amount of <br />vacation time earned shall be as follows: <br />1 - 4 years . . . . . . . . . . . 5 shifts <br />5 - 9 years . . . . . . . . . . . 7 shifts <br />10 - 17 years . . . . . . . . . . . 10 shifts <br />18 - 22 years . . . . . . . . . . . 12 shifts <br />23 or more years . . . . . . . . . . 1f shifts <br />13.2 The procedure for selecting vacation time shall remain as in effect <br />as of the date of this Agreement, however, if extenuating <br />circumstances arise the Employee involved may reqnest the Fire Chief <br />or his designee to approve such request out of sequence. <br />13.3 In the event of a disaster (as determined by the Fire Chief) all <br />vacations may be cancelled by the Fire Chief. <br />13.4 Employees shall be permitted to request that earned vacation leave <br />be accumulated. In no event shall the Employee be permitted to <br />accumulate vacation leave in eacess of the amount earned in the <br />prior year. <br />AbtTICLE RIY <br />Sick Leave <br />14.1 Sick Leave shall be earned in accordance with the Ohio State minimum <br />requirements and accumulation shall be unlimited. <br />14.2 Employees shall receive twelve hours off with pay for each siz <br />consecutive months of unused Sick Leave. Selection of such time off <br />shall be subject to the approval of the Fire Chief or his designee. <br />14.3 An Employee may be paid for unused accumulated Sick Leave at the <br />time of retirement or death. Payment shall be based upon the Basic <br />Hourly Rate of Pay at the time of retirement or death plus Longevity <br />and the amount shall be one half of the unused Sick Leave with a <br />maximum payment of 360 hours for 1985 and 480 hours for 1986.
