Page 5 <br />Sick Leave <br />State Employment Relations <br />Board <br />Absence due to personal illness, injury <br />or exposure to contagious disease where <br />quarantined by the Board of Health, or <br />illness in the Immediate Familry. <br />The State Employment Relations Board of <br />the State of Ohio. <br />Treasurer <br />The individual occupying the position of <br />Treasurer of the Association from tithe <br />to time. <br />ARTICLE II <br />RECOGNITION <br />The Employer hereby recognizes the Association as the sole and exclusive <br />bargaining agent with respect to wages:, hours, and other terms and conditions of <br />employment for all full-time IIt~ioyees in the Fire Department who are members of <br />the Association or are represented by the Association. All other Employees of the <br />Employers are excluded fin the barg~ini ~ fit. <br />ARTICLE III <br />B~'LAYER' S RIGHTS <br />3.1 Except as specifically abridged by the express written terms of this <br />Agreement, the IInployer shall have all the rights and perogatives, including, <br />but not limited to the right to direct Employees covered by the Association's <br />jurisdiction, the right to determine the number of Dnployees required in the <br />Fire Department, the right to hire, fire, assign, transfer, promote, supervise <br />and evaluate, demote and. discipline with dust cause, the right to establish <br />and enforce rules not in conflict with the terms of this Agreement,- to lay- <br />off because of lack of work. or economic necessity, and to .introduce new or <br />itnnrov+ed methods, equipment and facilities. <br />3.2 The above shall be in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Relations. <br />ARTICLE IU <br />DUES DEDUCTIONS <br />4.1 Z~e.Elnployer agrees to deduct regular monthly .Association dues fran the wages <br />of those Employees who have voluntarily signed dues deduction authorization <br />forms permitting said deductions. ~e dues deductions shall be made from <br />the second paycheck of every month. <br />4.2 The Employer agrees to deduct fi~am the salary .of any Employee of the Fire <br />Department, who is not a metr~er of the Association, to pay to the Association <br />by waV of payroll deduction, a Fair Share Fee, as determined by. the Treasurer <br />~,_ of the Association but not to exceed the dues :paid by Association members. <br />
