~ . <br />ARTICLE 12: MILITARY LEAVE <br />Section 1: An employee shall be granted a leave of absence <br />for military duty under the terms and conditions provided in <br />applicable federal law. <br />ARTICLE 13: UNPAID SICK LEAVE <br />Section 1: a regular full-time employee who has completed <br />his probationary period and who has exhausted his sick leave <br />shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for a period not <br />to exceed six {6) months for a continuing disability which is <br />substantiated by credible medical evidence. If the illness or <br />disability continues beyond six (6) months, additional sick leave <br />may be required to submit proof acceptable to the City of this <br />ability to perform the. work of his job upon the termination of <br />the sick leave. Any dispute as to the ability of an employee to <br />perform the work of the j ob shall be determined pursuant to the <br />medical examination procedure in Article 16, Section 3. <br />21 <br />
