The <br />Negotiating Committee shall forward all relevant infor- <br />mation, including the written grievance and response. <br />3. If the grievance is unresolved by the Safety <br />Director, the Negotiating Committee may, within ten <br />(10) working days of receipt of the Safety Director's <br />response, appeal the grievance to the Mayor, submitting <br />all relevant written information. The Mayor, or his <br />designated representative, shall reply in writing within <br />fifteen (15) working days thereafter, and that decision <br />shall be final and binding. <br /> <br />D. Time Limitations. <br />1. To be considered valid, a grievance shall be <br />initiated within ten (10) working days of the employee's <br />knowledge of cause. All further action by the employee <br />or management shall occur within the next seven (~) <br />working days of those involved, unless otherwise stated. <br />2. Failure of management to act within time limits <br />shall be cause for the employee, or if the grievance <br />is being handled by the Negotiating Committee then the <br />Negotiating Committee, to submit the grievance to <br />the next higher step. <br />3. Failure of the employee or negotiating Committee <br />to act within time limits shall be cause to consider <br />-15- <br />
