qF. .., <br /> <br />- t <br />n ~~ 4 <br />with Paragraph 51. The City shall pay one and a half (1~) <br />times the regular rate of pay for all Sunday and Holiday work <br />with the exception of the Police Department and Recreation De- <br />partment personnel assigned to shift work. <br />In determining whether an employee has worked in excess <br />of forty (40) hours in any work week, the following shall be <br />considered as hours worked.: <br />(a) Hours on a holiday which the employee did not <br />work but for which he received pay pursuant to <br />.~- <br />Paragraph 51 of this Memorandum; <br />(b) Hours or vacation which the employee did not __ <br />work but for which he received pay pursuant <br />to Paragraph 46 of this Memorandum. <br />(c) Hours of jury duty or witness duty which the <br />employee did not work but for which he received <br />pay pursuant to Paragraph 57 of this Memorandum.__~ <br />(d) Employees who are on vacation when a Holiday occurs <br />will not be credited with a vacation day and will <br />be paid for the Holiday as per Paragraph 50. <br />29. The City shall endeavor, insofar as it may be practicable, <br />to make a generally equitable distribution of overtime work among <br />employees within a classification and department who are capable <br />of performing the available work satisfactorily. Employees who <br />are offered. overtime and for any reason refuse or fail to work, <br />shall be credited with the overtime as if they had worked, for <br />the purpose of overtime distribution. In the event that a <br />sufficient number of employees are not available within the classi- <br />fications for the overtime assignment, qualified employees from <br />a different classification and/or department shall be offered the <br />overtime work and the overtime opportunity shall be .distributed <br />as equitably as possible. The City shall maintain lists by classi- <br />fication showing the overtime hours of each employee. All over- <br />time hours ~ihall be recordeld~ lon a daily basis The overtime <br />lists shall be posted at each work location (Service Garage, <br />Plant and Systems) and shall be kept current on a.daily basis. <br />-11- <br />
