for one family. <br />(45) "Lot" means an area of land being described as a lot in a duly <br />recorded subdivision or appearing as a single parcel on the <br />Auditor's Map Records or subdivided into a separate area or parcel <br />in accordance with the provisions of Ohio R.C. 711.001 or <br />designated as such by the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />(46) "Lot, corner" means a lot abutting upon two or more streets as <br />their intersection. <br />(47) "Lot, depth of " means the mean horizontal distance measured <br />between the front lot line and the rear lot line. <br />(48) "Lot, interior" means a lot the side lines of which do not abut on <br />a street. <br />(49) "Lot, through" means an interior lot having frontage on two <br />streets. <br />(50) "Lot, width of" means the horizontal distance of a lot measured at <br />the intersection of the building line and the mean lot depth line <br />at right angles to the mean lot depth line. <br />(51) "Lot line" means the line separating and bounding the lot from <br />adjoining land whether public or private. <br />(52) "Main building" means the building, all or part of which is <br />occupied by the chief use or activity on the premises. <br />(53) "Mixed occupancy" means the occupancy of a building or land for <br />more than one use. <br />(54) "Motel" means a building or part thereof operated as a public inn <br />for profit, in which transients are lodged, with or without meals, <br />and in which, as a rule, the rooms are occupied singly and not as <br />dwelling units. <br />(55) "Municipality" means the City of North Olmsted. <br />(56) "Nursery school" means a place where normal children of not more <br />than six years??of age are cared for and/or trained during the day. <br />(57) Parking area means a lot or part thereof used solely for the <br />temporary parking of motor vehicles. <br />(58) "Person" means a person or persons, firm or corporation. <br />(59) "Porch" means a roof, open structure projecting from the front, <br />side or rear wall of a building, no part of which is enclosed by <br />glass, wood or other material except screening more than thirty <br />inches above the floor thereof, except the necessary columns to <br />support the roof. <br />(60) "Professional person" means one who is licensed or registered by <br />the State of Ohio to practice his profession in this State. <br />(61) "Repair" means the replacement or renewal of any part of an <br />existing building or device for the purpose of maintenance. <br />(62) "Setback" means the minimum distance from the street line or front <br />property line to the building line measured along a line <br />perpendicular to the street line or front property line, or in the <br />case of an are street, measured perpendicular to the chord of the <br />arc describing the front property line at its midpoint and <br />measured from the chord line or from the radius of the arc itself, <br />whichever is greater.
