?. f.._.. ?H.. ,._ ._ . ... __ . <br />ARTICLE 20 - JIIRY, WITNESS PAY_AND COURT PAY <br />Section 1: An employee called for jury duty shall be <br />granted a leave of absence for the period of jury service and <br />will be compensated at full pay for absences necessarily caused <br />by the jury duty. An employee who is required to be absent from <br />scheduled work to serve as a witness called by a party in <br />litigation will be paid for time lost from scheduled straight <br />time work. An employee who is called as a witness due to his part-time employment in the area of public or private law <br />enforcement shall not receive witness pay from the City. <br />Section 2. Court pay: Police Clerks who are required to <br />appear in court for the City during their non-work hours shall be <br />paid a minimum of four (4) hours' pay. <br />ARTICLE 21 - SAFETY AND HEALTH <br />Section 1: The City and the Union recognize that each party <br />must comply with the applicable state and federal laws with <br />respect to safety and health. The City shall continue to make <br />reasonable provisions for the safety and health of its employees. <br />(Recreation Dept. Maintenance Personnel Only) <br />A. Required personal protective equipment shall <br />be issued to regular full-time employees and <br />shall be replaced if the equipment is worn out <br />and is returned to the City for replacement <br />cost, except in cases: <br />(1) In which the equipment was destroyed <br />by accidental conditions beyond the <br />employee's control in the work area, or <br />(2) If the equipment has been stolen and <br />the City has failed to supply the <br />employee with a place to lock up his .- <br />ti. <br />equipment. . <br />B.
