Plan of Study for City of North Olmsted Phase I by Floyd Browne Group January 4, 2006 <br />WORK PLAN <br />The following Work Plan is proposed for these two (2) Service Areas: <br />1. January 2006 -Meet with the City Administration to determine a Scope of Work for <br />Phase 2 of the Compliance Strategy. <br />2. January 2006 -Meet with the Ohio EPA to review the findings of the Compliance <br />Strategy and the Work Plan. <br />3. February 2006 -Meet with the City Administration to determine a Scope of Work as <br />regards the removal of foundation drains and other clean water connections. At this <br />time, decisions on financing and building code requirements need to be made. <br />4. February to May 2006 -Plan several public information meetings with residents in the <br />affected areas to present the work plan and to obtain further information regarding the <br />individual properties that experienced flooding. Distribute a letter to invite the people <br />who are on the list from the August 20"'storm to the meeting and include a Survey <br />Questionnaire that they can complete and bring to the meeting. In addition, advertise <br />the meeting in the local newspaper and on the web site. Prepare the public information <br />presentation, handouts, and strategies. <br />5. February 2006 -Purchase 4-5 new flow meters for the City so that flow records can be <br />obtained before and after improvements are made, especially the removal of foundation <br />drains. <br />6. March to July 2006 -Install the flow meters and obtain flow data over a 5-6 month <br />period. Analyze the data as it is obtained. <br />7. April 2006 -Televise the Walter Road trunk and determine the extent of line that needs <br />to be replaced. <br />8. March to August 2006 -Preliminary design of recommended pump station <br />improvements including additional testing. <br />9. March to August 2006 -Preliminary design of Walter Road trunk sewer replacement <br />and/or installation of a relief sewer. <br />10. March to August 2006 -Preliminary design of additional equalization basin at Clague <br />Park. <br />11. March to August 2006 -Preliminary design of local storm water drainage system <br />improvements on private property. <br />12. July to August 2006 -Prepare preliminary cost estimates for each of the alternatives <br />presented above and determine the most feasible and cost effective alternative by using <br />a matrix of pros and cons. <br />7 <br />
