Additional meetings may be held if required by <br />unusual circumstances. The safety committee shall <br />have the authority to deal with safety procedures, <br />safety and sanitation problems, and shall decide <br />upon the protective equipment to be used under <br />Paragraph (a). <br />DISABLED EMPLOYEE <br />61. The City and the Union shall attempt through agreement to <br />place partially disabled employees on light-work jobs which they can <br />perform. <br />NO STRIKES <br />62. Neither the Union nor any employee or employees will either <br />instigate, promote, sponsor, engage, or participate in, or condone any <br />strike. Any employee who participates in, advances, leads or promotes <br />a strike shall be subject to disciplinary action up to and including <br />discharge. <br />63. In the event that any breach of the no-strike clause in <br />Paragraph 62 above occurs, the Union's officers shall publicly declare <br />that the strike is unauthorized, shall promptly make reasonable, earnest <br />efforts to bring about a prompt termination of the strike, and shall <br />continue such efforts until the employees return to work. <br />-35- <br />
