CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 77- T 7 <br />Page 3 <br />1. For all employees who have completed 5 years but <br />less than 10 years of continuous service before <br />December 1 - $300 per year; <br />2. For all employees who have completed 10 years but <br />less than 20 years of continuous service before <br />December 1 - $500 per year; <br />3. For all employees who have completed 20 years of <br />continuous service or more before December 1 - <br />$700 per year <br />4. The provisions contained in paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of <br />this section shall, however, be subject to the follow- <br />ing provisions: <br />i. The longevity year shall be based upon December 1 <br />to December 1, and in order to be eligible for 100% <br />longevity payment for any year, the employee must <br />have worked or been paid for at least 238 days during <br />the longevity year and also be actively employed on <br />December 1 of the payment year. Furthermore, if the <br />employee works or is paid .for less than 238 days in <br />the calendar year and is still actively employed <br />on December 1 of the payment year, the longevity <br />payment shall be prorated as follows: <br />214-237 days 90% <br />190-213 days 80% <br />166-189 days 70% <br />142-165 days 60% <br />118-141 days 50% <br />117 days or less 0% <br />ii. However, any employee who retires and receives a pen- <br />sion, or dies, prior to December 1 of the payment <br />year shall still be eligible to receive a longevity <br />payment for that year based upon the pro-ration schedule <br />set forth in paragraph 4 above. <br />c. The provisions regarding longevity as specified in paragraph <br />(a) hereof shall continue and be effective for all administrative <br />personnel from August 1, 1976 and thereafter. The provisions of <br />paragraph (b) hereof shall only apply to the maintenance employees. <br />SECTION 5: That mechanics and other employees in the garage <br />of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be allowed the sum <br />of $135. per year for the cleaning and maintenance of uniforms <br />worn by them in the performance of their duties in the North Olmsted <br />Municipal Bus Garage. <br />SECTION 6: That all employees of the North Olmsted Municipal <br />Bus Line shall be entitled to certain holidays during the year and <br />shall not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled <br />to work by the General Manager or Supervisor. In the event the <br />employee works on one of the following holidays, the employee shall <br />receive another day off from work to replace the holiday he worked. <br />The scheduled holidays are as follows: New Year's Day; Memorial <br />Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas <br />Day; Presidents' Day; and the employee's birthday. <br />That all full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal <br />Bus Line shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with <br />the following schedule: <br />a. Two weeks vacation after one year full time service; <br />b. Three weeks vacation after seven years full time service; <br />3. Four weeks vacation after fifteen years full time service. <br />
