CITY OF NORTH <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />PAGE 11. <br />OLMSTED <br />79-139 <br />(D) Paving. <br />(1) All streets shall be paved witti seven incri <br />(7") concrete pavement; shall ]Zave integral <br />curbs; shall have a minimum width of 28 feet <br />measured from back of curb to back of curb; shall <br />be constructed in accordance with Ohio Department <br />of Highways T-71 Class D concrete with a minimum <br />of six and one-half (6?) bags of concrete per cubic <br />yard; shall have a minimum compressive strength <br />of four thousand pounds (4,000 lbs.) per square <br />inch; shall be reinforced with mesh which is a <br />minimum of forty-two pounds (42 lbs.) per one <br />hundred square feet (100 sq, ft.); shall be <br />constructed of, and material specifications <br />followed, pursuant to a Paving Detail Sheet prepared <br />by the City Engineer, a copy of which is on file at <br />the North Olmsted City Hall and also at the City <br />Engineer's Office; and also all streets constructed <br />shall meet the requirements of Department of Highways <br />for the State of Ohio. <br />(2) Areas other than residential: Eight inch (8") <br />reinforced concrete pavement with barrier curbs, <br />28 feet inside face to inside face. <br />(3) For all areas regardless of the type of zoning <br />where the proposed pavement width from back of curb <br />to back of curb exceeds thirty-two feet (32 feet), <br />the minimum land width shall be eleven feet (11 ft.) <br />except that the Council of the City of North Olmsted <br />may require wider lane widths or lesser lane widths <br />to conform to the volume and type of traffic. <br />(4) Sidewalks. Concrete walks shall be five (5) <br />feet wide, four (4) inches thick except at <br />driveways where the thickness shall be six inches. <br />Wire mesh shall be provided and used throughout <br />the entire length of the sidewalk. <br />(S) Driveway aprons shall have a minimum thickness <br />of six (6) inches and shall be flared toward the <br />street a minimum of three (3) feet wider on each <br />side of the driveway. Wire mesh shall be provided <br />and used. <br />(6) Trees shall be planted according to the Master <br />Tree Plan specified by the Director of Public Service <br />on file at North Olmsted City Hall, and <br />(7) The City Engineer has the authority to waive <br />or increase the above improvement requirements when <br />authorized by the Council of North Olmsted. <br />All construction work required by the developer shall <br />be done under the supervision of the City Engineer <br />and in the presence of a City Inspector.
