Continuous service and seniority shall be broken when <br />an employee: <br />(a) <br />(b) <br />(c) <br />(d) <br />(e) <br />?. <br />?.? <br />Quits or resigns; <br />Is discharged for just cause; <br />Is laid off for a period equal to the amount <br />of seniority held at the time the lay-off <br />commenced, or twenty-four (24) consecutive <br />months, whichever is less; <br />Fails to report to work within seven (7) <br />calendar days when recalled from lay-off by <br />certified mail addressed to the employee's <br />last known address as shown on the City's <br />records, unless the employee is unable to <br />work due to medically proven disability; <br />Is absent without report for three (3) <br />consecutive work days unless the employee has <br />a reasonable excuse for failing to report the <br />absence. <br />24. The City shall advise the Union in writing of additions <br />to or deletions from the seniority list at the end of each pay <br />period. A copy of the list of additions and/or deletions will <br />be sent to the Local Union President and the Local Union Treasurer. <br />HOURS OF WORK <br />25.
