? <br />t+r <br />r- <br />im <br />employees within a classification and department who are capable <br />? <br />of performing the available work satisfactorily. Employees who <br />are offered overtime and for any reason refuse or fail to work, <br />shall be credited with the overtime as if they had worked, for the <br />purpose of overtime distribution. In the event that a sufficient <br />? <br />number of employees are not available within the classifications <br />for the overtime assignment, qualified employees from a different <br />classification and/or department shall be offered the overtime <br />work and the overtime opportunity shall be distributed as equitably <br />as possible. The City shall maintain lists by classification <br />showing the overtime hours of each employee. All overtime hours <br />shall be recorded on a daily basis. The overtime lists shall be <br />on posted as each work location (Service Garage, Plant and System) and <br />tw shall be kept current on a daily basis. <br />33. For the purposes of Paragraphs 31 and 32, it shall not <br />be deemed practicable to distribute an overtime opportunity in <br />strict accordance with the overtime lists where: (1) the City, in <br />good faith, estimates that the opportunity consists of no more <br />than one (1) hour of overtime work per man required, or (2) the <br />opportunity arises during an emergency as defined in Paragraph 31. <br />In distributing overtime opportunities, the City or its represen- <br />"0 tatives shall not engage in a policy favoring an employee or <br />trr employees, unless this Memorandum requires certain employees to <br />AM work the overtime. <br />-19- <br />.. <br />? <br />.m.?P._
