An employee awarded a job under the provisions of <br />Paragraph 46 shall receive at the time of his promotion, the <br />? appropriate rate of pay in the classification. <br />? <br />wA. <br />51. When an employee is temporarily transferred for one (1) <br />hour or more to another classification, he shall receive the <br />higher of his regular rate or the next higher rate of the job <br />to which he is transferred for the entire period of time of the <br />transfer. A temporary transfer shall not exceed thirty (30) <br />working days except: <br />(a) To fill a vacancy caused by an employee being <br />on sick leave or other approved leave of <br />absence; <br />(b) To provide vacation relief scheduling; <br />(c) To fill an opening temporarily pending <br />permanent filling of such opening; <br />(d) To meet an emergency situation; <br />(e) To meet changes in the work load; and <br />(f) To accommodate the presence of summer employees. <br />-29- <br />?. <br />? <br />
