1 <br />-3- <br />2. Each of the parties hereto agrees to respond to an emergency <br />in the other agreeing municioal corporations, on the call from the Prayor, <br />Director of Public Safety, Chief of Fire or other party designated by them, <br />of such other contracting municipal corporations, for services of the Fire <br />i <br />? Department and its emergency equipment at those times and places that would <br />( tend to require immediate or long-term participation of services of two (2) <br />'or more of the municipal corporations being a party to this agreement. The <br />extent of such response by said responding municipal corporation shall be <br />determined by the judgment of the Mayor, Director of Public Safety, Chief <br />of Fire or other party designated by them, who shall retain in said <br />municipal corporations sufficient equipment and personnel consistent with <br />the proper protection of said responding municipal corporations. <br />3. lJhen said authorized person of any of the contracting municipal <br />corporations calls for assistance, he shall.state the specific emergency <br />or activity requiring participation by any of the parties hereto stated. <br />When such assistance is requested,the authorized person requesting such <br />assistance shall give explicit directions as to the location where such <br />assistance is required, and shall, whenever possible, dispatch someone to a <br />specific meeting place to escort the persons responding to such call to <br />their destination. <br />4. Pdo charge shall be made for the aforesaid service by either <br />of the parties hereto, and each of said parties shall assume the expense <br />of any loss or damage to its own equipment or apparatus which may be <br />incurred while in the other party's municipal boundaries-, or while responding <br />to a call in accordance with or under the terms of this agreement. ' S. Al1 personnel of the responding party, while responding to a <br />call of a calling party, shall be acting within the scope of their employ- <br />ment by the responding party, while en route to, en route from, and while <br />acting within the territory of the calling municipality. <br />, <br />? <br />i <br />? <br />.
