!f <br />-3- <br />2. Each of the parties hereto agrees to respond to an emergency <br />in the other agreeing municipal corporations, on the call from the <br />Mayor, Director of Public Safety, Chief of Fire or other party designated <br />by them, of such other contracting municipal corporations, for services <br />of the Fire Department and its emergency equipment at those times and places <br />that would tend to require immediate or long-term participation of <br />services of two (2) or more of the municipal corporations being a <br />party to this agreement. The extent of such response by said responding <br />municipal corporation shall be determined by the judgment of the Mayor, <br />Director of Public Safety, Chief of Fire or other party designated <br />by them, who shall retain in said municipal corporations sufficient <br />equipment and personnel consistent with the proper protection of said <br />responding municipal corporations. <br />3. When said authorized person of any of the contracting municipal <br />corporations calls for assistance, he shall state the specific emergency <br />or activity requiring participation by any of the parties hereto <br />stated. When such assistance is requested, the authorized person <br />requesting such assistance shall give explicit directions as to the <br />location where such assistance is required, and shall, whenever <br />possible, dispatch someone to a specific meeting place to escort <br />the persons responding to such call to their destination. <br />4. No charge shall be made for the aforesaid service by either <br />of the parties hereto, and each of said parties shall assume the <br />expense of any loss or damage to its own equipment or apparatus which <br />may be incurred while in the other party`s municipal boundaries, or <br />while responding to a call in accordance with or under the terms of <br />this agreement, <br />5. All personnel of the responding party, while responding to a <br />call of a calling party, shall be acting within the scope of their <br />employment by the responding party, while en route to, en route from, <br /> <br />
