CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 76-143 <br />Page 3 <br />In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments <br />of longevity increments as hereinabove set forth, no credit shall <br />be given for part time service, but such limitation is only for the <br />purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for part <br />time service shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits <br />which may be due them for part time service as employees of the North <br />Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. <br />b. Effective October 3, 1976 and thereafter, the following <br />longevity benefits shall be paid to all full time employees except <br />administrative personnel with the first of such payments to be <br />made in December, 1977: subject to the approval of the Regional Transit Authority: <br />1. For all employees who have completed 5 years <br />but less than 10 years of continuous service <br />before December 1 - $300 per year <br />2. For all employees who have completed 10 years <br />but less than 20 years of continuous service <br />before December 1 - $500 per year <br />3. For all employees who have completed 20 years of <br />continuous service or more before December 1 - <br />$700 per year <br />4. The provisions contained in paragraphs 1, 2, <br />and 3 of this Section shall, however, be subject <br />to the following provisions: <br />i. The longevity year shall be based upon December <br />l to December 1, and in order to be eligible <br />for 1000 longevity payment for any year, the <br />employee must have worked or been paid for at <br />least 238 days during the longevity year and <br />also be actively employed on December 1 of the <br />payment year. Furthermore, if the employee <br />works or is paid for less than 238 days in the <br />calendar year and is still actively employed on <br />December 1 of the payment year, the longevity <br />payment shall be pro-rated as follows: <br />214- 237 days 90% <br />190-213 days 800 <br />166- 189 days 700 <br />142 -165 days 600 <br />118 -141 days 500 <br />117 days or less Oo <br />ii. However, any employee who retires and receives a <br />pension, or dies, prior to December 1 of the <br />payment year shall still be eligible to receive <br />a longevity payment for that year based upon the <br />pro-ration schedule set forth in paragraph 4 above. <br /> <br />
