Any employee who transfers from one department <br />within the City to another shall be credited with <br />the unused balance of sick leave accumulated. This <br />shall in no way be construed as referring. to any <br />other city than North Olmsted. <br />B. Use of Sick Leave. <br />Employees may use sick leave for absence due to: <br />1. Personal illness, injury, or exposure to contagious <br />disease where quarantined by the Board of Health. <br />2. Illness in the immediate family, a maximum of five work <br />days, including travel time. The term "immediate <br />family" in the case of death, shall be interpreted as <br />meaning parents, parents of spouse, spouse, and children <br />of the employee, regardless of place of residence, as <br />well as other relatives living in the employee's home. <br />3. Head, Director or <br />Mayor, the City Physician may be requested to call upon <br />any City employee. <br />In the event any employee has been off duty for a serious <br />ailment, such as a heart attack, or any employee has <br />suffered loss of limb, sight, physical or mental disability <br />and if any such employee is unable to perform the duties <br />he or she performed prior to his or her disability, the <br />Director or Mayor may deem it necessary to have the <br />employee approved by the City Physician before said <br />employee goes back to work. Decision as to whether the <br />employee is capable of fulfilling his or her duties shall <br /> <br />
