CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 76 - ~~ <br />PAGE 2. <br />Hourly employees will be paid at time and one-half (1 2) of the <br />straight time rate for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) <br />hours per day and also time and one-half (1 2) of their straight <br />time rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours <br />in any one work week. However, under no circumstances shall there <br />be a pyramiding of overtime. <br />The North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be the sole judge <br />of the necessity for overtime. <br />A. All full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus <br />Line having completed five (5) years of full time continuous service <br />as employees of said bus line, or having been transferred from some <br />other department by administrative appointment, shall be paid an <br />additional 30 of their base annual salary until they have completed <br />their tenth year (10) of continuous full time service. After complet- <br />ing their tenth (10) year and prior to completion of their fifteenth <br />(15) year of~continuous~full time service, they shall be paid 40 of <br />their base annual salary. After completion of their fifteenth (15) <br />year and prior to completion of their twentieth (20) year of continuous <br />full time service they shall be paid five percent (5%) of their base <br />annual salary. After completion of their twentieth (20) year of <br />continuous full time service and thereafter, they shall be paid 60 <br />of their base annual salary. These payments shall be longevity <br />increments and shall be paid and computed by the Finance Department <br />of the City of North Olmsted. <br />B. In computing length of service for the purpose of making <br />payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit <br />shall be given for part-time services, but such limitation is only <br />for the purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion <br />for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of any other <br />benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees of <br />the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. <br />C. That mechanics and other employees in the garage of the <br />North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be allowed the sum of One <br />Hundred Thirty-Five ($135.00) Dollars per year for the cleaning and <br />maintenance of uniforms worn by them in the performance of their <br />duties in the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Garage. <br />D. That all maintenance employees of the North Olmsted Municipal <br />Bus Line shall be entitled certain holidays during the year and shall <br />not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to work <br />by the General Manager. In the event the employee works on one of the <br />following holidays, the employee shall receive another day off from <br />work to replace the holiday he worked. The scheduled holidays are as <br />follows: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; <br />Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; President's Day; and the employee's <br />birthday. <br />E. That all full time maintenance employees of the North Olmsted <br />Municipal Bus Line shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance <br />with the following schedule: <br />Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full time service; <br />Three weeks (3) vacation after seven (7) years full time service; <br />Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time <br />service. <br /> <br />
