<br />Ordinance No. 2955 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. An ordinance providing
<br />for the issuance of notes of the City of North Olmsted in anticipation of
<br />the issuance of bonds for the purpose of constructing and erecting an
<br />addition to and the altering of the Police Station, and declaring the
<br />necessity of the issuance of bonds for such purpose. It was moved by Mr.
<br />Kramer, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, that the statutory rule be suspended and
<br />the ordinance be read immediately the second and third times and put on
<br />its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as folloi~,~s: R. Christman
<br />iiinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill. Thereupon the ordinance
<br />was read the second and third times and put upon its passage and the
<br />affirmative vote thereon was as follows: R. Christman, Hinkel, Hixson,
<br />Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill.
<br />Resolution No. 2856 was introduced by Mrs. Hinkel. A resolution authorizing
<br />the City to pay to the City of Cleveland the sum of $$2.4'7, as its share
<br />of the cost of negotiating the East Ohio Gas Company's current gas rate
<br />contract, and declaring an emergency. It eras moved by Mrs. Hinkely seconded
<br />by ~virs. Lynch that the statutory rule be suspended and the resolution be
<br />read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage and
<br />the affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: R. Christman, Hinl~el,
<br />Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill. Thereupon, the resolution was
<br />read the second and third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative
<br />vote thereon wa.s as follows: R. Christman, Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch,
<br />MacDonald, C'Neill.
<br />The Safety Director reported he had received a communication from the Police
<br />Department requesting changes in salary rates, working conditions, paid
<br />hospitalization! $150.00 per year c]_othing allowancef and a change in
<br />longevity pay. In accordance with procedure, the Director recommended this
<br />matter, together with the requests received from the Fire Department, be
<br />taken up with the New Council and new Finance Committee.
<br />It was moved by Nlr. N~acDonald, seconded by Mr. R. Christman, the matter
<br />be held for recommendation by the New Finance Committee. "Yens" R. Christman,

<br />The Safety Director reported Robert Lee Ford was the lowest bidder for the
<br />purchase of three new police cars at $2,019.49 each, including title fees
<br />a.nd a 300 H.P. Engine, with. a trade-in allowance of $2,012.00 for Cars 64
<br />and 65,
<br />The Engineer reported the petition for water main on Brookpark Extension
<br />was deficient in foot frontage; however, the petition for the Elmhurst -
<br />Guilford water main contained more than 60/ of the required signatures,
<br />%, The Engineer also reported in rebGrds to the re-check of McKenzie Fark
<br />Development, They had requested a .release of an additional $2500,00 of the
<br />$4,000.00 withheld. He recommended $l,?_00,00 be retained and only $1,800.00
<br />be released at this time because several items still remain unfinished and
<br />engineering and inspection fees have not been paid. The balance will not
<br />be released until they have completed all of their work,
<br />The Engineer also advised the plat for the re-subdivision of Aspen Drive
<br />had not been signed by the Council; however, it had been approved and there
<br />is a resolution approving it.
<br />The Engineer also presented a corrected plat for Great Northern Boulevard,
<br />originally approved N`ay 6th, by Resolution No. 2850, and requested Council's
<br />approval for recording purposes only.
