JIINE 16, 1959 - PAGE 4. <br />The Solicitor requested Council's consideration of a special meeting of <br />Council sometime this month for the enactment of the assessing ordinances <br />for' Fitch Road sidewalk, Decker Road paving, the two Lessner Road side- <br />walks, and Lucille sidewalk so that on the 7th of July the bond ordinance <br />can be adopted in order to have it on the tax duplicate for collection <br />in 1960. <br />It was moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr. Kramer, that the statutory <br />provisions, Rule 43, and Rule 41 of the Rules of Council be suspended. <br />"Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, O'Neill, c~Tilson. <br />Resolution No. 2864 was introduced by Mr. Wilson. A resolution authorizing <br />the advertising of the Budget of the City of North Olmsted for the year <br />1960. It was moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, that the <br />statutory rule be suspended and the resolution be read immediately the <br />second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on <br />said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, O'Neill, <br />Wilson. Thereupon the resolution was read the second and third times <br />and put on its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: <br />Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Ordinance No. 2865 was introduced by Mr. Hixson. An ordinance repealing <br />Ordinance No. 2792 amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2215, enacted <br />October 4, 1955, being an ordinance fixing and determining salaries and <br />bonds of elected officials of the City of North Olmsted, Ghio. The <br />ordinance was given its first reading only. <br />Mr. Hixson recommended steps be taken to forfeit the bond of Monson- <br />4lilliams, and the City do the work on Sweetbriar. Mr. Barnes advised he <br />had ordered them to put oil on the street. Mr. Monson reported he had <br />hired an engineer to stake it out and said he would be there to do the <br />work by the first part of the week. <br />The Plats Committee is to take up the matter of planting trees in new <br />developments, which is to be incorporated into improvement plans as <br />submitted to the Planning Commission, advising developers it is part of <br />our City ordinances, in accordance with a Master Tree plan on file at <br />the City Hall. <br />The Finance Committee is to take into consideration the claim presented <br />to the Solicitor by John Price, 2361 Rocky River Oval, relative to damage <br />to his car by a limb of a tree at 30350 Lorain Road. <br />r~r. O'Neill inquired relative to the condition at 25854 Lorain Road. <br />Mr. Lundy stated an order had been issued, that it was necessary to give <br />ninety-days between notification and demolition. They are still within <br />the time limit. He had notified them and approximately four to five <br />weeks have passed, and he does have a notice of it in the office. <br />The Engineer's contract had been approved by the Solicitor, with one minor <br />correction, and referred to the Finance Committee fo.r discussion at a <br />meeting to be held Friday, June 19th. The purchase of fire hose - 600 ft., <br />in the amount of X1500.00 is also being considered at this meeting. <br />The Solicitor stated that by resolution No. 2847 passed May 6th, it had <br />been proposed to amend Article III, Section 6, relating to improvements <br />to be made by the alloter, He is in the process of drafting a Platting <br />Ordinance, and that portion will be deleted from the Zoning Ordinance, <br />which necessitates certification to the County Auditor's office. <br />pir. $ohnson of Olmsted Colony appeared before Council requesting acceptance <br />of the bonds, and permission to wait to pave Asplin and Cypress Drives at <br />the end of Summer. All other improvements will be in before they request <br />building permits. These bonds are submitted to assure the City the paving <br />will be done before the end of the construction season. He also stated <br />plans were presented to Council for the paving of Holly Drive on December <br />15th, and that they will make every effort to pave the street this Summer. <br />Mr. Hixson stated he and Mr. p~~acDonald would like to see streets in before <br />any building permit is issued, and sidewalks completed when buildings are <br />finished, and an investigation should be made in regard to Glmsted Colony <br />as to whether or not they come under these regulations. <br />
