<br />The Solicitor reported he had received a copy of the ordinance pertaining

<br />The Solicitor reported that under the laws of Ohio, adoption of an ordinance
<br />by which our Building Department take over supervision for ar~q commercial
<br />or industrial type of structure, it must be under the direct supervision
<br />of an Engineer with ten years of experience i.n the field, and employment
<br />of such an engineer would be required, to be accepted by the State. This
<br />is to be studied further by Committee.
<br />The Solicitor reported that a title guaranty was prepared on the proposed

<br />The Solicitor stated it is imperative to have the Plat Books for the City.
<br />Mr. Gundy reported the cost to be approximately X962.00 for seven books,
<br />which are required, and the up-keep of the plat books would cost approximately
<br />X30.00 per month.
<br />The Solicitor stated that the posting of stop signs on undedicated streets
<br />creates difficulties in the enforcement of traffic laws.
<br />The Solicitor reported he had received an inquiry from Metro which involves
<br />Municipal contracts which the City might have, such as joint contracts,
<br />street lighting, Police and Fire protection.
<br />The Solicitor advised that in connection with the proposed appointment of
<br />a first class, second class, or third class fireman, in his opinion, part-
<br />time men are eligible for appointment without a Civil Service Examination.
<br />The probability of the appointment of two Policemen and Firemen will be
<br />discussed at the next meeting of the Finance Committee and a report made
<br />back to Council.
<br />Mr. Kramer brought to the attention of the Council there was a lot of litter
<br />on streets and suggested that the ordinance be enforced and Lorain Rd. be cleaned,
<br />Resolution No. 26$0 was introduced by Mr. MacDonald. A resolution authorizing
<br />the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for T-35-C Asphaltic
<br />Type Hot-Mix for the repair of Columbia Road and other streets in the City
<br />of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. MacDonald
<br />seconded by Mrs. Lynch, that the statutory rule be suspended and the resolu-
<br />tion be read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage.
<br />The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer,
<br />Lynch, MacDonald, O'Nei.ll.. Thereupon, the resolution was read the second

<br />Resolution No. 26$1 was introduced by Mrs. Lynch. A resolution requesting
<br />the $5th Congress of the United States, second session, to defeat proposed
<br />legislation, H.B. b790 and H. B. 6791, which proposes to amend the Natural
<br />Gas Aet by ex~opting the production of natural gas sold in interstate commerce
<br />from regulation by the Federal Power Commission, by conferring limited juris-
<br />diction over producer contracts for the sale of natural gas, and by incorpora-
<br />ting into law the Fair-Field price concept in administration of the natural
