<br />The Mayor reported on the Mayors Committee meeting held August 12th.
<br />Regarding the Surburban Police Scho©Z, it is possible there may have to
<br />be individual agreements between the County and each City to provide for
<br />the munieipalities~ payments of the costs, and the Association will probably
<br />determine how ~y men each municipality will be allowed to send. Dr. McKay
<br />reported on local Goverment Fund Distribution for the last six months of
<br />1957. There will be a net increase from Sales Tax over last year to be
<br />allocated in 1957. No municipality will receive less than was certified
<br />at the first of the year. Legislative research commission is to start studies
<br />in several fields affecting municipalities and will give notification when
<br />the studies are undertaken.
<br />The Mayor stated that in some new allotments the Fire F~ydrants were being
<br />damaged from using the wrong wrenches on them. The Engineer stated that in
<br />some cc~unities they make a developer post a bond of 2~ oY the estimated
<br />construction cost for two years. The matter was referred to the Streets
<br />Coamaittee to consider legislation.
<br />The Mayor requested that Council be present on Wednesday, September 4th,
<br />195?, at which time Floyd Brown & Associates will submit final plans for
<br />the Sewage Disposal Plant.
<br />The Safety-Service Director reported that the best bid for 297 ft. of fence
<br />along the Easterly line of the Sanitary Land Fill was X617.00, made by the
<br />Ferbert Fence Company.
<br />The Solicitor conferred with the bonding campar~r in regards to Phil English
<br />and Westchester No. 4, and a meeting will be the following week with the
<br />Engineer.
<br />Mr. Decker stated that Mr. Hoislbauer was unable to get a security bond;
<br />however, he brought up a cash bond for the improvements of Your lots on
<br />Stadium Drive. It was moved by Mr. Baker, seconded by Mr. Crider that we
<br />accept the X6,000.00 cash bond of Joe Hoialbauer. "Yeas" Baker, Crider,
<br />Decker, Kramer, MacDonald.
<br />Mr. Schwenk is now present.
<br />Ordinance No. 2532 was introduced by Mr. Decker: An Ordinance amending
<br />Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1038, entitled "An Ordinance determining
<br />officers and members of the Firo Department and number thereof" as amended
<br />by Ordinance No. 2393 passed November 7, 1956. It was moved by Mr. Decker,
<br />seconded by Mr. Kramer that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance
<br />be read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The
<br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer,
<br />MacDonald, Schwenk. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third
<br />times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereaon was as follows:
<br />Balser, Crider, Decker, Kramer, MacDonald, Schwenk.
<br />Ordinance No. 2533 was introduced by Mr. Deckers An Ordinance amending
<br />Section 2 or Ordinance No. 2211,., entitled "An Ordinance determining salaries,
<br />wages and bonds of appointed officials and employees of the City of North
<br />Olmsted", as amended by Ordinance No. 2496 passed Juns 4, 1957• It was
<br />moved by Mr. Decker, seconded by Mr. Baker, that the atatutorq rule be sus-
<br />pended and the ordinance be read im~aediate]tiy the second and third times and
<br />put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows:
<br />Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, MacDonald, Schwenk. Thereupon, the ordinance
<br />was read the second and third times and put upon its passage and the affirma-
<br />tive vote thereon was as follows Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, MacDonald,
<br />Schwenk.
<br />Ordinance No. 2534 was introduced by Mr. Criders An Ordinance amending
<br />sections 3 and 4 of Ordinance No. 2214 entitled, "An Ordinance determining
<br />salaries, wages and bonds of appointed officials and employees of the City
<br />of North Olmsted", as amended by Ordinance No. 2509, passed July 15, 1957,
<br />and Ordinance No. 2359, passed August 21, 1956.
