The principal reason wa5 ±ound to be vandaiism by school bus <br />riders, it was brought ou+ that the schooi runs are costing money, and the <br />Safety-Service Director and Mr. Best have been asked to furnish +he Commiltee <br />with a cost breacKdown on school losses, with the possibility that schoni bus <br />fares may have to be raised so that bus equipment can be maintained, <br />The Committee alsc made an inspection tour of the bus garage and made sugges- <br />tions for changes and corrections in that area. The Finance Committee was <br />asked to look over the possibiiity or purchasing two new buses, <br />Mr. Eian, Chairman of the Safety, Health and Welfare Commi'ltee, stated that <br />he was anxious to set up an a:l-council meeting with regard to up-dal-ing the <br />existing Blasting 0rdinance. He aisc reported that his commit-Fee is making <br />a further study of the proposed legisiation wifih regard to fihe wearing of <br />protective helmets when operating a motorcycle, etca <br />Mr. Mangani, Chairman of the Design and Fiatting Committee, reported on their <br />meeting held November 28th. <br />They recommend approval for record purposes only of the Country Club hi-rise <br />apartments, with the pravision that the developer show the location of the <br />easement for utilities on the plat, and that the name of the street on the plat <br />be corrected from Country Club Boulevard to Great Norther-n Boulevard. <br />They also approve the Rinyu Subdivision on Decker Road which combines three <br />forty-foot 6ots inTO two sixty-foot lots, and the Krock Subdivision on Porter <br />Road which is a similar case. <br />The Planning Commission asked for a postponement of any action on the Phillip <br />Engoglia Subdivision, whfch takes in an area north of Terrace until the Commis- <br />sion hears from the Developer. <br />Mr. Mangani moved i-hat -rhe requested postponement on the Phillip Engoglia <br />Subdivision be granted to the Planning Commission, Motion was seconded by <br />Mr. West, "Yeas" Caster, Eian, Foltz, Hodgins, Limpert, Mangani, West, <br />With regard to the Mayor's request that the Band Instructor come under the <br />Recreation Commission, Mr, Mangani reported that the Public Parks, Property <br />and Recreation Cc,mmittee wouid give it some studyt <br />Mr. West, Chairman of the Finance Commit±ee, reported that they were agreed <br />on the following matters:
