April 19, 1966 - Page 3 <br />The Committee reeommends approval of Red Coach Subdivislon No I, consisting of <br />four sublots on Porter Road adjacent to North Park Subdivision, <br />Approval of Council of a thirty-day extension on the three subdivisions requested <br />by Planning Commisslon will be requested under New Business. It is recommended <br />by the Design and Platting Committee. <br />Mr. Mangani, Chairman of Public Parks, Property and Reereation Committee, called <br />attention to an ordinance being presen#ed tonight to authorize the Safety-Service <br />Director to advertise for bids for the shelter at the Clague Playground. <br />Mr. Caster, Chairman of the Municipai Development Committee, r-eported that they <br />concur with the Finance Committee's recommendatlon to use the Cfty's credit <br />to extend the sewer lateral on Canterbury north of Lorain. The Committee recom- <br />mends that Floyd Browne's plans for the sanitary installatlon in this area be <br />reviewed and that we proceed with the necessary legislation to get this in mot;on. <br />A letter received from Attcrney Sheidon Berns regarding a sidewalk assessment at <br />24476 Noreen Drive, being property owned by Mr. and Mrs. Adelbert Toth, was read <br />by the Clerk. It is Mr. Berns' belief that the sidewalk was put in by Countryside <br />Estates, and the assessment is in error. After some discussion, it was recommended <br />that a further'check be done in this matter-? before action is taken. It was also <br />ascertained from the Law Director, that if the assessment is in error, it could <br />be corrected by one pfece of legislation. <br />Mr. Ray Dykes, 25136 Kennedy Ridge Road, asked whether the time of the public <br />hearing could not be changed to a time which would be more convenient to more <br />people, in the evening rather than the afternaon. Mayor Christman reported that <br />the State had agreed to change the hearing from 10:00 A.M. to 2;00 P.M., but that <br />was as far as they would go. <br />Mr. Dykes further inquired about a lateral going across Kennedy Ridge where the <br />highway is due to come through, and about properties not connected to the existing <br />sewers. <br />Mr. Earl Timothy, 29863 Broxbourne Road, called Council's attention to a hazardous <br />condition which he felt exists durfng construction work on the buildings at Elmhurst <br />and Lorain, because of the heavy equipment and workers' cars blocking the street <br />partially and making access to Lorain very difficuit. Mr. Timothy also reported <br />that builders on Wellesley, Whitehaven and Broxbourne have torn up all of the <br />ditches and roads, and feels they should be included in the repair program. <br />Ordinance No. 66-54 was yiven its third reading, as amended. An Ordinance instruct- <br />ing the Director of Pubiic Service and Public Safety to direct the City Engineer <br />to prepare plans and specifications for sidewalks for the 1966 sidewalk program <br />for Alexander Road from Clague Road to the easterly corporation line of the City <br />of North Olmsted on the north and south sides; Wellesley Avenue from Eimhurst Road
