A <br />petition requesting demolition of the buildinq had been received from homeowners <br />in the area, after which the Buildinq Commissioner forwarded a registered letter <br />to the owner requesting that he demolish the buildinq and clean up the property. <br />Since nothinq has been done, the Buildinq Cammisser requests that the CounciP <br />order the Buildinq Commissioner to proceed with the demolition. <br />Mr. Manqani, Chairman of the Public Parks, Property and Recreation Committee, <br />reported on 8 metbtino'held oh`M?rdh 28th` with the Recreation Commission <br />to discuss allocation of up to $8,000 of the Recreation Commission funds for <br />a shelter house at Clague Playground. The committee recommends that the Safety- <br />Service Director be authorized: to prepare plans and specifications and advertise <br />? for bids, not to exceed $8,000 for a structure in accordance with the proposed <br />? sketch. <br />Mr. Manqani also reported that the committee recommends acceptance of the Ohio <br />Department of Hiqhways' offer of $18,800 for the property owned by the City on <br />Fitch Road. <br />Mr. Mangani, Chairman of the Design and Platting Committee of Council, also re- <br />ported on their meetinq held on March 28th. The committee recommends approval <br />of Sands Subdivisions I, 2, 3 and 4 for record purposes only, subject to loca- <br />tion of easements on the plat. This is a cluster development fromr7.699 acres <br />will accrue to the City for school and recreational purposes. wrt+cH <br />The Committee also recommends approval of Columbia Land Subdivision # 4 for <br />record purposes. <br />The Desiqn and Plattinq Committee also recommends approval of City Line Subdi- <br />visions #2 and #3, with deletion of the utility easement ciause from the plat. <br />Chairman Manqani reported the request from the Board of Zoninq Appeals for <br />amendment of Section 1231.02, Sub Paraqraph (b), referrinq to additions to <br />buildings and dwellings of an existing non-conforminq nature, was discussed <br />with the Law Director. Mr. Kitchen advised the Committee to let the paraqraph <br />remain as it is, with changes permitted on dwellings, but not on buildingso <br />. rw
