He reqaested Council to SBPiflUSIV considsr the Planning Commission <br />recommendations whieh deprive the proPerty owner of the use of his property. <br />Mr. Manqani stated that the matter had been discussed in eommittee, who did not <br />see fit to change the ruling, and suqqested-that Mr. Scanlon present the problem <br />to Council as a whole. <br />Reviewinq, Mr. Scanlon stated that a year ago the zoninq on the parcel was changQd <br />from commercial to industrial use, that there is conslderable industrial land in <br />the area but so far, no industry. He presented a pian of his client's parcel <br />to Council for study, and advised that Mr. Orosz proposed a ten-unit motei at <br />fihe present time, which would include living quarters. He asked the Council to <br />overrule fihe PI-anning Commission and authorize the owner to go ahead with plans <br />for the motel, calling their atfiention to the fact that a larger motel-plan in <br />the same area is under consideration by the Planning Commission. Mr. Scanlon <br />suggested that Council might want to enterfiain the possibility of recommending <br />that the Planning Commission reconsider this along with the plan they are now <br />considering. <br />It was established through questioning that fihe change in zoning from commercial <br />to industrial use on the parcel in question was passed in 1964, and Mr. Orosz <br />did not buy the land until 1965. <br />Mr. Caster moved that Council accept the recommendation of the City Pllanning <br />Committee of Council, seconded by Mr. Mangani. Mr. Kitchen advised that the <br />matter was beinq considered by Council as a whole, and therefiore the motian <br />was not in order. Mr. Mangani then withdrew his second, and Mr. Caster withdrew <br />his motion. <br />Mr. Manqani then moved that the Committee of Council as a whole accept the recom- <br />mendation of the Planninq Commission as to the Orosz property. Motion was seconded <br />by Mr. Caster. "Yeas" Caster, Eian, Foltz, Hodqins, Mangani, West. "Nay" Limpert. <br />:The motion carried, <br />Ordinance No. 65-223 was given its third reading. An Ordinance accepting fior dedi- <br />cation West 237th Street from Lorain Road to Reed Avenue. Mr. Caster moved for <br />adoption of the ordinance seconded by Mr. Eian. Affirmative vote was Caster, <br />Eian, Foltz, Hodqins, Limpert, Manqani, West. <br />Ordinance No. 66-36 was given its seCond reading. An Ordinance appropriating One <br />Thousand Two Hundred Dollars for the preparation and distribution of the City's <br />Annual Report to the residents of North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance No. 66•43 was given its second readinq. An Ordinance approving the <br />editinq and inclusion of certain ordinances as parts of the various component
