Corrai be appoi,nted to fill <br />the unexpired term of Donald Packe (32-31-70) on the Recreation Commission. <br />Seconded by Mr< Eiano "Y'eas" Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasy, West. <br />The Clerk was requested by M.r. Eian to read a pet.ition he had received re- <br />cently. The petition was dated August 16th, and pertained to the public <br />walking access to Great Northern Shoppeng Center from Leender Rd. <br />Mrs. Hodgins also submitted a petition for the Clerk to read regarding a <br />request for street light- on F)eharty9 somewhere in vicinity of 4721 and <br />4836. <br />Mr. Earl Timothy9 29863 BrQxbourne, spoke regarding wording "Guilford Rd. <br />should not be abandoned," in the Ju]y 2, 1968 minutes of Council. He <br />emphasized that this word "abandoned" should not be used in connection <br />with Guilford Road because it dmplaes that it should be abandoned. He <br />said that of course there always wal? be people who do not want improve- <br />!c*-me_nt_s_Ar He has a petit'?on requesteng improvements but first has questions <br />to ask. He has been guestioned about nonmsigners of such a petition. <br />Will they pay their share? Williamsj 537$ Columboa Rdo, spoke about problems with ditches <br />in vicinitya At all times, rawn or not, the ditches are covered with a stag- <br />nant, green skum, coming from 5ome other source.
