<br />Mr. West, Chairman o{ Finan?.e Committee, said this committee had met three
<br />times since last Council meetinn, primarily on subject of 1968 budget.
<br />They have now finalized amounts on the Cotal dollars for each department.
<br />Salaries have been discussed with police and firemeri and it has been de-
<br />cided to grant them a 7% in;:rea:,e; also to add three policemen.
<br />Mr. Mangani, Chairnian of C?esign and Platting Committee, mentioned that
<br />he had received a c<momunication from Law Di rc-rtor Ki tchen in regard tn
<br />Sandy Ridge No. 3, saying that leyi5lation cannot be prepared at this
<br />time 5ecause the streets have not been allocated names as yet. The

<br />Ordinance No. 67-254 was introduced by Mr. Foltz. An Ordinance author-
<br />izing the Safety-Service Director to advertise for bids for the sale of
<br />a 1929 Seagraves Fire Engine, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Foltz
<br />moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings, seconded by
<br />Mr. West. Affirmative vote was Eian, Foltz, Nodgins, Limpert, Mangani,
<br />West. Mr, Foltz then moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. West. Affirma-
<br />tive vute was Eian, Foltz, Hodgins, Limpert, Mangani and West,
<br />Resolution No. 67-25; was introduced by Mr. West. A Resolution authoriz-
<br />ing the Director of Law to settle a law suit entitled "City of North
<br />Olmsted, Ohio vs. Cornelius N. Mitchel, et al," in the Cuyahoga County
<br />Court of Common Pleas for the surn of $17,000.00, and declaring an emergency.
<br />Mr. West moved for the suspension of the rule requiriny three readings,
<br />seconded by Mr. Mangani. Affirmative vote was Eian, Foltz, Hodgins,
<br />Limpert, Mangani and West. Mr. West then moved for adoption, seconded by
<br />Mr. Mangani. Affirmative vote was Eian, Foltz, Hodgins, Limpert, Mangani
<br />and West.
<br />Ordinance No. 67-256 was introduced by Mr. Mangani. Ara Ordinance amending
<br />Sections 3 and 12 of Ordinance No. 67-134, enacted hlay 16, 1967, which
<br />Ordinance amended Ordinance No. 67-92, enacted March 21, 1967, which emended
<br />Ordinance No. 66-21, enacted May 4, 1966, and entitled "An Ordinance to pro-
<br />vide for the drainage of surface water within the City of North Olmsted, and
<br />declaring an emergency," and declaring an emergency. Mr. Mangani moved far
<br />the suspension of the rule requiring three readings, seconded by Mr. Limpert.
<br />Affir-mative vote was Eian, Fo1t2, Limpert, Mangani, West. Negative vote was
<br />Hodgins. Mr. Mangani then moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. Limpert.
