Riehards cemmnCed that if this araa vexe to have <br />homes there could be as many as 70 hcxmes built which wauld bring, morB <br />cars, more children meaning added cZassroams tv our schools, ora. <br />Mr. Arthur Johnns, 4793 Carsten Laae, stated he had attended the Public <br />Hearing, and went aa to saq that aast of the peogle in Pine Ridge bought <br />homes here to live in a nice, small ccmmumity. Feels there is no great <br />problem with traffic now; alsa, do nat want businesses right in baek of <br />them. <br />Mra. Lambert, 4499 Ashburg Park, questioned location of area to whfch <br />Mr. Richards referred to xegarding hie comment of 70 homes. <br />At this point President Q`Neill etated he preferred not to have a debate <br />tonight. He further stated that a Public Hearing wss held on April 27th. <br />If comnents are tcept brief they wi11 be listened to, but that we are not <br />going to conduct aaother Fublic Aearing. <br />Mr. Limpert stated the area that Mr. Richards was ta?king about is the <br />undeveloped area north of the present developmeat. President 0'Neill <br />commented that some years ago a develapmmt was planned in that area <br />foz homes, but because of the poesi,bilitq of the extensian of Brooicpark <br />Road it was decided that we appeel to the owner at that time and ask him <br />not to develop - which he complied with. <br />Mrs. Lambert, 4499 Ashbury Park, stated she does not want a shoppfng <br />center on top of Pine Ridge; aiso feels traffic oa Lorain R;oad is not <br />tao bad now. <br />Mrs. Juhnns, 4793 Carsten I.ane, que8tioned lot being held - asked if <br />there would be a road into Pine Ridge. Maqor Christman clarified by <br />saying that if develapmeat were residential this lot was held for a <br />road. Mrs. Johnns referred to statement made by a councilman at Pub1iC <br />H.earing that new buainesses along extension would bring in alot of taxes. <br />Furtiier commented Pine Ridge brings in a great deal of tax money and feels <br />if land is deteriorated because of this - tax money wi].1 8u dawn3 aiso, <br />had no idea land was anything but resideatial or theq never would have <br />bou;ht there. <br />Aelen Gaul, 26679 Leenders Lane, commented she has lived in North 0lmsted <br />fo= ZO qears. Doea Aot waat extension or rezcming - feels it is traffic <br />hazard - especially on Dover Csnter. She does aot feel there is a need <br />for another shopping center - feels there is enaugh hamburger places and <br />gas stations on Loraia right nvw. <br />Mr. John Foldesy, 26615 Leenders Lane, questioned nwaber of people to <br />be employed in stores, etc. if land is rezoned; also connentEd on traffic <br />prgblEms ttiat will occur. <br />President O'Neill stated that at this time no one knows what is intended <br />
